It's Time to Wake Up
I set the alarm for 9 A.M.
but it wasn't necessary.
The earthquake at 7:30 woke
me up.
From the middle of a dream
I was suddenly lying there
feeling the hotel shake,
wondering if room 3003
would soon be a Shinjuku
intersection
30 floors below.
It sure beats the hell
out of an alarm clock.
